Wooden shipping crates built to the exact size and weight of your machinery or equipment, not pulled off a shelf.
A custom crate starts with the item, not a stock size off a shelf. We measure the machine or equipment down to the inch, check where the weight sits, and figure out how it will be lifted, forklift, crane, or by hand, before a single board gets cut. The crate gets built around those load points so the item rides secured rather than rattling loose inside extra space.
Crates built without that step show their problems later. Panels flex under weight they were not sized for, nails back out during transport, and cushioning that looked fine in the shop shifts when the truck hits a pothole. By the time the crate is opened at the other end, the damage is done and there is no fixing it on site.
Ask what lumber grade is being used and whether the crate needs ISPM-15 heat treatment for international shipping. In this climate, moisture matters too. A crate sitting outside in Puget Sound rain needs a vapor barrier and treated wood, or the panels swell and the fasteners work loose long before the item ever leaves the yard.
How it runs
- Assessment We measure the item and note its weight, balance, and how it will be lifted.
- Design We plan panel layout, load points, and any barrier or treatment the crate needs.
- Build Panels are cut and assembled around the item's actual dimensions.
- Cushion and Seal Foam, blocking, or strapping goes in and the crate is sealed against moisture.
- Final Check We test fit and lift points before the crate leaves the shop.
