Industrial shrink wrap applied right at your site to seal equipment against dust, moisture, and damage.
Shrink wrapping happens right where the equipment sits, so there's no extra handling or loading before the barrier goes on. We pad sharp corners and exposed edges first, then wrap the film around the load from the bottom up and run a heat gun over every seam until it shrinks tight and seals.
Done wrong, the wrap causes more damage than it prevents. Film pulled too tight against a component can crack plastic housings or bend thin metal. Wrap without any vents traps moisture inside, and that moisture turns to condensation, then rust or mold, especially on anything stored for more than a few weeks. Sharp edges left unpadded cut straight through the film and expose the item anyway.
Ask whether the film is vented for anything going into long term storage, since standard shrink wrap seals in humidity that has nowhere to go. For equipment sitting outside, ask for UV resistant film, since regular wrap breaks down and turns brittle after a season of sun. A few desiccant packs inside the wrap add extra insurance against Pacific Northwest humidity.
How it runs
- Site Visit We look at the load, note sharp edges, and pick the right film for how long it's storing.
- Prep and Pad Corners and exposed parts get padded so the film doesn't tear or cut into the item.
- Wrap Film goes on from the bottom up, pulled snug around the actual shape of the load.
- Heat Seal A heat gun runs every seam until the film shrinks tight and seals shut.
- Vent and Inspect Vents get added where needed and the finished wrap gets checked for gaps.
