Pickup and delivery means we come to wherever the item is sitting, whether that's a job site, a warehouse dock, or a driveway, and handle the packing and the transport as one job instead of two. We check the site ahead of time for access, whether a forklift or lift gate is needed, and any loading restrictions before the truck shows up.
When packing and hauling get split between separate companies, gaps show up fast. An item gets loaded into a truck bed loose because the crate isn't ready yet, or a crate gets built without knowing how it will actually be loaded and the dimensions don't match the truck or dock. Either way the item takes the hit during the ride nobody planned for.
